IMPORTANT: Please read this entire guide before your appointment. If you have any questions, active skin conditions, or special circumstances, please communicate them before your appointment so we can reschedule ahead of time.
01 | Absolute Contraindications & General Safety Rules
Active Infections & Facial Skin Conditions
Services CANNOT be performed if you have any active infection or irritated condition on the eyes, brows, forehead, or anywhere on the facial area.
Mandatory Rescheduling: If you present an active infection or inflammatory condition anywhere on the face, you must inform us immediately so we can reschedule your appointment. The procedure must be postponed until the area is completely, 100% healed.
Includes (but is not limited to):
- Viral Infections: Active cold sores / facial herpes (HSV-1), even if located on or around the mouth/lips.
- Eye Conditions: Conjunctivitis (pink eye), active styes, excessive tearing, or active eye inflammation.
- Inflammatory Skin Conditions: Active dermatitis, active eczema, or active psoriasis breakouts anywhere on the face or eyebrow zone.
- Skin Lesions: Open wounds, active cuts, abrasions, severe irritation, or significant facial inflammation.
Clinical Contraindications (Accutane / Isotretinoin)
Accutane / Oral Isotretinoin: If you are currently prescribed or have taken oral Isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 to 12 months, we cannot safely perform brow waxing, brow lamination, or chemical services.
Safety Risk: Accutane can make skin more fragile and increase the risk of skin lifting, tearing, or scarring with waxing and chemical processing. Please inform us immediately so we can discuss alternative, safe shaping methods.
Contact Lenses Policy
- Must Be Removed Prior to Arrival: If you wear contact lenses, they must be removed BEFORE entering the studio for any eye or lash service (such as the Korean Lash Lift or tinting). Please do not plan to remove them at the studio sink.
- What to Wear: Please arrive wearing your eyeglasses.
- Eye Sensitivity Check: If you experience red eyes, irritation, swelling, excessive tearing, or general discomfort on the day of your appointment, please inform your artist before beginning.
02 | Brow Services Pre-Care Protocol
(Brow Waxing, Brow Lamination & Hybrid Tinting)
Why Pre-Care Matters: Combining brow lamination, hybrid tinting, and waxing is an intensive treatment. Proper preparation helps protect the skin barrier, reduce the risk of irritation or skin lifting, and support an even, long-lasting tint stain.
2 to 4 Weeks Before
Pause Advanced Facial Treatments: Cease all chemical peels, microdermabrasion, microneedling, dermaplaning, and facial laser treatments in or around the brow and upper face area 2 to 4 weeks prior. These treatments can compromise the skin barrier and may increase the risk of skin lifting or irritation during waxing and lamination.
7 to 14 Days Before
Pause Prescribed Retinoids & Actives: Discontinue prescription-strength Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retin-A Micro, Differin, or other medical-grade retinoids 7 to 14 days prior to your appointment (or a strict minimum of 5 to 7 days for standalone brow wax sessions). Follow your prescriber’s advice before stopping prescribed medication. These products can make skin more fragile and vulnerable to lifting, tearing, or grazing during hair removal and chemical processing.
Pause Over-the-Counter Actives: Stop over-the-counter Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs like Glycolic or Lactic Acid), Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs such as Salicylic Acid), and Benzoyl Peroxide near the brow and forehead area at least 7 days before (or 3 to 5 days minimum for basic waxing in that area).
2 to 3 Weeks Before (Natural Growth Requirements)
For seamless, root-to-tip extraction and a defined silhouette, patience is paramount.
- Suspended Grooming: Please refrain from tweezing, threading, or trimming your brow hairs for at least 2 to 3 weeks before your appointment. Leaving hair growth for your artist allows the full growth cycle to return and gives maximum length and structure to lift, shape, and wax cleanly.
- Optimal Length: Ensure your brow hair has reached a minimum length of 1/4 inch (roughly the length of a single grain of rice) so the wax can firmly encapsulate each follicle.
72 to 48 Hours Before
- Stop Self-Tanning Products: Avoid facial fake tan, bronzing drops, or spray tans. Hybrid tint stains the skin beneath the brow hairs; self-tanners can cause tinting results to appear patchy or unnaturally orange.
- Pause Manual Exfoliation: Do not use physical face scrubs, gritty exfoliators, or facial cleansing brushes on or around the eyebrows.
- Tanning & UV Exposure: Avoid natural sunbathing, direct sunlight, and UV tanning beds for a minimum of 72 hours prior to your appointment. We cannot safely perform services on skin that is sun-exposed, sunburned, flushed, sensitive, or actively inflamed.
Day of Appointment
Arrive Absolutely Bare-Faced: Arrive with completely clean brows—without foundation, concealers, setting powders, brow pencils, pomades, heavy face creams, oils, or waterproof products. Clean skin allows the hybrid tint to adhere uniformly and gives the wax a clean canvas to grip effectively.
The Disinfection & Friction Rule: Prior to application, your skin will be thoroughly disinfected with a clinical sanitizing solution. Arriving without cosmetics helps avoid aggressive scrubbing or rubbing immediately before waxing. This reduces friction, helping keep your skin calm and reducing post-waxing sensitivity and redness.
Limit Caffeine & Stimulants: If you are highly sensitive to tactile sensations, consider skipping your second cup of coffee or other caffeine stimulants right before your appointment, as caffeine can temporarily heighten sensitivity and increase jitteriness during waxing.
03 | Korean Lash Lift Pre-Care Protocol
To support maximum lift, lash health, and durability, please adhere to these steps:
- 48–72 Hours Before: Avoid mechanical or thermal eyelash curlers.
- 24 Hours Before: Avoid waterproof mascara as well as oily or bi-phase products around the eye area.
- Day of Appointment: Arrive with eyes completely clean and free of mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, concealer, eye creams, oils, or makeup residue.
Important Note: The Korean Lash Lift requires the natural lashes and surrounding eye zone to be completely free of grease and residue to support uniform application and optimal absorption of the lifting products.
04 | Companion & Guest Lounge Policy
To preserve a peaceful environment and maintain focus and precision during your facial treatment, no companions or guests are permitted in the service room during your appointment.
If someone is traveling with you, they are welcome to relax in our beautiful, comfortable lobby space, which we have carefully curated for their comfort while they wait for you.
